Eyes Wide Shut

What better way to celebrate then to parade in full glitz and glamour.  Vogue's Intrigue Anniversary Ball was filled with many of our favorite models and designers, costumed from head to toe, dedicating the evening to French Vogue's 90th.  Everyone loves a masquerade.

In the art realm, I'm somewhat of a dilettante observer, bordering casual participation.  My appreciation covers a range of genres, but I lack fiscal means which limits me to truly "explore" and partake as much as I would want to.  So for those of you who are like me, I often have to compromise the real deal through mere photographic replications.  On that note, one things I've been dying to go see is Ron English's solo exhibit, "Status Factory" going on now at the Opera Gallery.   It's running from now until the end of October.  So if your in the NYC area, you should most definitely add this onto your to-do-list. 
As for now, I'll have to live vicariously through the eyes of Bobby Hundreds.

not so little pieces.

I'm a sucker for fine jewels and bold accessories.  Though it may not be the most practical thing to wear on a daily basis, chunky jewelry definitely can vamp up any outfit.  When given the center of attention, bold pieces definitely make a statement.  Even for those who may not agree, Elle's October issue features brilliant jewels and gems that make it hard to resist.

On the same note, Elle featured an Exclusive peek at the new jewelry collection for Jason Wu.  Alexis Bittar is set to feature as the new designer for his line.  As one can easily assume, the collaboration will be ingenius.  The collection will debut this Friday, but till then we can only imagine how stunning it will turn out.

Milan Fashion week was filled with top designers all flaunting their newest collections, but I have to say it was off the runways that models were making their statements. Their chic styles toughened up by cropped motorcycle jackets and pops of animal prints. I'm absolutely in love with their street savvy styles.
